Theories of Science, Technology and Society
The dynamic relationships between technology and society has long been a vexed and debated phenomenon. Many conceptual approaches and social theories have been propounded to approach the technology and society nexus. This interactive workshop is designed for PhD students and early career researchers working in this area. It will provide an overview of the different theories, ontologies and conceptual approaches, and encourage participants to reflect on how they could be applied to their own research and aid understanding of the contemporary world. A small selection of readings is provided and participants are strongly encouraged to read these prior to the workshop.
