OERt CIWG | Mindfulness and the Psychology of Safety
Hosted by: To be confirmed
We’ve all been there. Distracted and not paying attention to the present.
Being on auto-pilot happens.
There are over 7 million results when searching the term mindfulness on Google.
Mindfulness means being aware. It means knowing what you are doing. Being present.
Studies show that behaviour is a key causal factor of safety incidents.
- How often is our mind on other things rather than the task at hand?
- Are there times you carry out habitual tasks at work on autopilot and wonder later if you did them correctly?
- Do you think it would be safer art work if you were more able to concentrate on the present moment?
In this common interest workgroup we will explore how to create a mindful organisation.
Get some great insights from others on how they address this issue in their organisations. Meet some fantastic people and form some useful networks to draw upon later.
