Fashion Illustration Workshop | Summer Workshop (5 Days, Sydney Campus)
The Fashion Illustration Workshop will explore drawing techniques fundamental for budding fashion designers. This workshop is available in a single five day block, in which you will gain an understanding of the fashion figure on paper, experiment with different materials and learn techniques for presenting your creative ideas.
The five day workshop is a recommended starting point for those wishing to develop their illustration skills in the fundamental areas of fashion illustration.
No drawing experience is necessary to undertake this program. The workshop is aimed at those wishing to develop their drawing skills and compile a portfolio required to successfully continue studies in fashion.
This five day workshop focuses around:
-Freehand sketching of human figures
-Freehand sketching of faces
-Illustration of garments
-Print and textile design
-Application of watercolour pencils, professional markers and felt-tip pens for professional rendering
-Analysis of fashion trends and preparation of a fashion storyboard for a design brief
-Development of an individual design aesthetic
-Portfolio development and presentation skills
Classes will commence at 10am each day and conclude at 3pm. There is a 1 hour break at Midday.
